School Trips

We continued to take the children to visit their new schools this week. I particularly enjoyed my visit to Chalkwell Hall Infants, firstly because we have had such great feedback about the confidence and behaviour of our/your children and secondly because I saw so...

Dancing with Jemma – Congratulations!

Dancing with Jemma – Congratulations!

Today the children wished Jemma congratulations for her wedding day on Friday. This term we have been concentrating on dances and music from around the world, today we focussed on tap dance. Jemma will be back on Mondays after the Easter holidays and we will be...

I did promise myself that once the website was updated I would start a Pre-school blog, the idea being that it would be a good opportunity to tell you all what really happens during our sessions.

So here goes… Thursday 29th January, Vanessa will now be here every Thursday morning as Fiona will be working on Tuesday morning instead. This morning we had pre frozen some ice and characters for an ice tray, maybe not the best day to choose as it was pretty cold outside, this didn’t put the children off exploring and we got lots of fantastic learning about ice and some of the children practised some new words. Whilst this was happening some of the other children talked about their news with me in the Quiet room.

The children have been very captivated by the Wake Up Mr Bear game and there were a group of 10 of them re-creating the game with one child taking the role of “teacher”, all was going quite well until she ended up with seven sleeping bears at once!

Anyway first blog done, let me know what you would like to hear on this page.

3rd Feb A little update for you, Jemma’s dance lessons this half term are themed on music from around the world, first week back we tried Salsa, then latin style, followed by Bollywood and this week we have done Irish style dances. I also need to get cracking on making up some new cd’s the children have requested Taylor Swifts “Shake it off” and “Uptown Funk” – which apparently is a lot of the Mummy’s favourite song! Its been cold this week so we have started each session with a little warm routine up before registration in the mornings. This afternoon I let Betty the communication and language puppet help out with the register.
